This quartet was composed during a time of deep emotional crisis in my second year of college. Each movement traces a stage in a long and painful descent—beginning with unease, progressing through restlessness and anger, and finally arriving at resignation. The piece is the result of months spent in darkness, and though it doesn’t offer resolution, writing it helped me find a way forward.
